A key fact about the place Nutley plays its home games is that the left field fence is only 275 feet from home plate because their games are played in a field that is shared with football, and that’s where the stands are. Add to that the fact that the top of the Nutley batting order has 4 right handers and only one left hander.

The top of the Nutley order produced 4 homers into the football stands. Poor Danny Isralowitz was forced to stand by and watch the, normally catch able balls, fall into the stands.

However, forget about the short fence, Nutley’s pitcher dominated Summit. He struck out eight and gave up only two singles. The game ended in the 6th inning under the 10 run Mercy Rule
