Dover jumped off to a quick 15-4 lead as the first quarter was very reminiscent
of the Chatham game. That is, Summit couldn't get any of their inside shots to
drop. A 3 by Bob Adams and a 2 by Brendan Reilly got Summit to within 6 as
the quarter ended. Unfortunately the lid remained on the hoop for Summit
who could only muster 3 points in 8 minutes to go down 15 at the half. As has
occurred often in the past the third quarter was more to Summit's liking. 3s
by Adams and Reilly and a deuce by Carey got us to within 10 early in the
quarter. Hearts began to beat again, but the inside strength of Dover and their
deadly foul throw shooting proved to be much to overcome. While we
outscored Dover in the second half it was too little too late.
