In what has become a recurring theme, the Hilltoppers came from behind to
beat Mt. Olive. Things got off to a slow start as we fell behind 9-2 early. A 3
by Bob Adams followed by two quick FGs by Carey and Brown got us back in
the game at 9-9. Unfortunately, Mt. Olive raced to a 7 point lead by halftime.
Coach Prendergast must have really laid it on at halftime because the boys
came out with guns blazing as we reversed the 7 point deficit and made it a 7
point lead. 15 of the 3rd quarter points came from Carey and Johnson who
were on fire. The fourth quarter was a defensive gem that held Mt. Olive to 9
points while a key 3 from Brendan Reilly and some end of game free throws
from Foushee and Carey sealed the victory.
