After an amazing finish to the 4th quarter and the 1st overtime period Summit
finally was buried under a pile of Morris Hills' free throws. With this loss our
Playoff hopes were also buried. A three by Danielle Proper had sent the game
into overtime. In the first overtime we were down by 6 with only 36 seconds
remaining, threes by Burney and by Berger, the last with no time remaining
sent it into double overtime. But that is were the dream ended as we were
outscored 9 - 2 in the final OT session. Morris Hills ultimately won the game
at the free throw line hitting 6 of 8 in the 4th quarter, 7 of 8 in the first overtime
and 5 of 8 in the final 4 minutes. In the final 16 minutes Morris Hills hit 18 of
24 free throws . Quite a performance. By contrast, Summit scored only two
points at the line during the entire game.
