Down 11 at the half the Summit Women put on a big move in the 3rd to get
back 38-36. In the third quarter Ayesha Burney dumped 12 of Summit's 18
point. But has happened so often this year the rally fell short at the very end of
the game. The loss puts Summit in a tight situation (they are now 5-7) if they
hope to play in the State tournament. They need to beat both Morris Hills
(they previously lost by one in overtime to a shot at the buzzer) and Boonton (
who they beat 44-42 in their first meeting). It is certainly doable but the first
meetings indicate it will be a tough fight.
