Missy Kellog's 14 first half points got summit off to a 26 - 10 halftime lead.
Kellog's 14 points was a Summit record for scoring in a single half (besting the
13 points Ayesha Burney scored in the 2nd half of the Dover game). Summit
continued to play short handed with both Burney and Jill Standing sidelined
with ankle injuries. West Essex made a serious run at Summit in the
3rdquarter, but a pair of 3 pointers by Erica Berger kept WE from making it a
really close game. The defense took over in the 4th quarter holding WE to 4
points, and that was a good thing since Summit was only able to sink 4 of the 12
free throws they had in that quarter.
