SUMMIT HIGH SCHOOL VARISTY BASEBALL TEAM RECORDS 1936 TO PRESENT

The Suburban Conference was formed in April, 1935, and began competition with the 1935-36 school year. The original five members were: Millburn, Madison, Summit, Caldwell, and Glen Ridge, and the league was first known as the Little Five Conference. With the addition of Verona in 1940 the league name was changed to the Suburban Conference. In the 60's the conference added West Orange, Springfield and New Providence. During the forty-seven years that the Conference was in operation Summit won the baseball title fifteen times, more than any other school.

In 1983, to the great disappointment of the Summit community, the Suburban Conference was disbanded and Summit entered the newly formed Skyline Division of Northern Hills Conference. Millburn and Caldwell joined Summit in the Skyline Division and the baseball team's first game in the new league was with old rival Millburn on April 4. New teams appearing on the Summit schedule were Clifford Scott, Montville, Lakeland, West Milford, and Wayne Valley.

In 1988 Summit moved to the National Division of the Watchung Conference. The National Division included Rahway, Shabazz, Linden, Cranford, Irvington, Plainfield, East Side & Scotch Plains.

Beginning in 1997 Summit moved again, to the Hills Division of the Iron Hills Conference. Summit's conference foes were Morris Hill, Mt. Olive, Mendham, Parsippany, Hanover Park, Parsippany Hills, Weequahic, West Essex and Dover.
