Summit avenged the opening day loss to Dover, and they did it in convincing style. Summit scored in every inning except the first and probably should have scored in that inning too. At long last the big bats asserted themselves. Six of Summit's ten hits were for extra bases. Matt Benedetti and Paul Krupa doubled, Mike Nelson and Steve Bariexca tripled, and Benedetti and Rob Delgado hit home runs. It was a pleasure to watch.

Matt Williams pitched another gem of a game. Dover was limited to one unearned run through the first 6 innings and he entered the final inning with an 11-1 lead. Dover managed a couple of run before Williams got Dover's Mike Hrynio to ground out to Mike Mormak to end the game.

Williams really had his stuff as Hyrnio will attest. Last year Hyrnio batted over .600, but today Williams put him away 0 for 4 including two strike outs.
