Paul Krupa pitched a great 3 hit shutout to earn Summit its first victory of the season. In the best weather of the season, Summit's slumbering bats started to come alive. Summit picked up a run in the 1st inning via a single by Mike Nelson and a pair of Morris Hill errors. As it turned out, that was all Summit was to need. Summit's second run came in the 2nd inning when Summit loaded the bases with two walks and an error and Ryan Carey drove in the run with a sacrifice fly. Summit managed 5 more runs in the 5th inning . Matt Williams led off the inning by making it to first base on an error. Nelson was hit by the pitcher and moved to 3rd on a double by Matt Benedetti that scored Williams. Nelson scored and Benedetti moved to 3rd on a wild pitch. After Nick Monaco was walked Chris Kaiser doubled to knock in two runs. Krupa advanced Kaiser to 3rd on a ground out and Rob Delgado brought him home on a fine squeeze bunt. Nelson doubled to start the 6th and was driven home by a Monaco Single. The final run of the game came in the 9th inning after 2 were out. Carey singled and Williams double him home.
