New Providence came into this game with a 16-4 record, but bad memories of a last inning rally last season spurred the Hilltoppers to hang on this time! Mike Nelson had a great day at the plate, hitting a long homerun to left center in the 2nd knocking in 3 runs, and also plating 2 more runs in the 5th with a clutch 2 out single!
Steve Bariexca pitched a gutsy game throwing 155 pitches to go the entire 7 innings, and improving his record for the season to 5-0! He struck out 8, and allowed only 2 walks.
