As expected, Summit won both games of a double header against Weequahic. While the victories were easy, it gave James Sivertsen and Mike D'Ecclessis a chance to throw some good innings. Each pitcher allowed only one run. Remarkably, neither pitcher gave up a walk. Another plus was that many JV players got to see some late inning action. Patrick Murphy got a single in the 1st game and Jeff Della Piazza hit a home run in the 2nd game.

Mike Nelson may have established a Summit record when he hit 2 home runs in the first inning of the 1st game.
