In spite of a significant deficit in the statistics department, Summit took advantage of every opportunity to gain an important victory. Summit's first score came in the 2nd quarter when Matt Williams returned a punt 91 yards for a TD. Keith Schroeder kicked the extra point to take a 7-0 lead. The second score came after a bad snap on a Weequahic punt gave Summit the ball on the Weequahic 25 yard line. Mike Nelson moved the ball to the 17 yard line and a penalty advanced it to the 9. From there, Nelson took it in for the score. A bad snap thwarted the extra point kick.

In the 3rd quarter Summit's first possession started on Summit's 47. A pass from Nelson to JP Coviello moved the ball to the Weequahic 4 yard line. From there things sputtered and Weequahic intercepted a 4th down pass. Fortunately, Summit got the ball back on the Weequahic 25 when Schroeder intercepted on the very next play. A pass to Coviello got Summit to the 8 yard line. From there Schroeder hit Matt Benedetti for the score. Schroeder ran it in for a 2 point conversion.

Weequahic managed its only score late in the 4th quarter when they connected on a 49 yard pass. While Weequahic had a significant advantage in rushing yards, they repeatedly hurt their chances with penalties.
