Summit started this game minus four of the usual starting five players. Ryan Carey, Dan Dugan and Chris Jones were given a two game suspension and Lamar Freeman has been dropped from the team. Alex Sprinzen was the only remaining starter and, with so much scoring punch out of the game, was forced into a totally different team role. The first half was difficult as the new cast of players tried to find its own chemistry. Summit managed only 17 points and was behind 31-17 at halftime. Things began to come together in the second half and Summit was able to outscore Mt. Olive 39 to 38 in the second half. Summit managed to get to within 8 points in the 4th quarter, but Mt. Olive made their foul shots down the stretch and secured the win.

Sprinzen finished the game with 18 points and Matt Audibert added 16 points. Summit hit on only 8 of 32 shots (25%) in the first half, but improved to 14 of 33 (42%) in the second half.
