Summit met the number one ranked Group 2 team in the State at Weequahic's compact court (it is about 16 feet shorter than regulation). The size compression is perfect for Weequahic's lightning quick players and their aggressive smothering defense. In the first half Weequahic was hot and Summit was not. Summit hit only 8 of their 26 shots (31%) in the half and Weequahic fast break'd their was to a 40-22 lead.

Coach Maxwell must have built a fire at halftime because Dan Dugan came out on fire. Dugan scored 11 of Summits 18 points in the quarter and the defense held Weequahic to 9 points. At the end of the quarter Summit had cut the deficit in half, to 49-40. Summit managed to get as close as 8 points in the 4th quarter, but Weequahic's strength, bench depth and shot making ability was just too much for Summit's 6 man rotation. Summit's connected on 15 of 31 shots (48%) in the 2nd half.

Dugan had his best scoring game of the season with 27 points. Ryan Carey and Alex Sprinzen both scored in double digits with 18 and 11 points respectively. Carey managed a team leading 6 rebounds.
