After one quarter it looked like it was going to be very tough night for Summit. West Essex used some fine shooting to grab a 17-14 lead. However, things turned around in the 2nd quarter as Ryan Carey and Alex Sprinzen caught fire. Carey dropped in10 points and Sprinzen hit 9 points to lead Summit to a 25-11 quarter. The half ended with Summit ahead by 11 points. In spite of that lead West Essex had shown that they had the scoring punch that could sustain a rally. Fortunately, Carey and Sprinzen continued to score in the 3rd quarter with 7 and 6 point respectively, as Summit grew its lead to 14 points. The 4th quarter was led by Dan Dugan (8 points) and Chris Jones (7 points). Carey had a season high 26 points and Sprinzen (photo)was close behind with 21 points. Both the other regular starters were also in double figures. Dugan with 17 points and Jones with 13 points. Lamar Freeman sat out this game in street clothes.
