This score was a lot closer than it should have been. Summit looked like an easy winner through out the entire1st half, holding WE to 11 points while running up 24 points. Turnovers and mistakes increased in the 3rd quarter and Summit was outscored 8-7. Still, Summit held a comfortable 12 point lead, 31-19, starting into the final 8 minutes. Then things began to fall apart. WE turned up the defensive pressure and Summit fell victim to bad passes and turnovers. WE scored the first 6 points of the quarter to make it an 8 point game, but that was still a fairly comfortable lead. Karen Jann and Lauren Ertz traded baskets with WE to make the score 35-27. However, WE scored the next 6 points off Summit errors and suddenly it was 35-33. Another turnover gave WE a chance to tie the score, but they failed to do so. With 45 seconds left WE was forced to foul and Lian Price sank 1 of 2 free throws to give Summit a 3 point lead. WE failed to score on their next possession and again fouled Price. This time she sank both attempts to put the game in the win column. Price finished the night with a game high 12 points.
