Summit retook a 7-5 lead in the bottom of the 4th on a single by Bariexca, a walk to Matt Williams, a double by Jeff Johnson and back-to-back singles by Nick Monaco and Mike Mormak. Dover tied the game in the 5th with its first 2 earned runs of the game. Summit got a break of its own in their 5th when Bariexca opened with a single and eventually scored on an infield error making it 8-7, Summit. In the Dover 6th Bariexca's pitch count was close to 100 and previous innings defensive problem had obviously taken its toll. After a ground out the next batter was walked, but Johnson made a great catch of a foul pop up for the 2nd out. Dover's pitcher doubled to tie the game at 8-8. A double and a triple ,combined with a defensive error, resulted in 3 more runs for Dover. Mike Mormak was brought on in relief . He struck out the next batter to end the inning, but the damage had been done. Summit closed to within 1 run (11-10) in the bottom of the 6th inning. Mormak led off with a line drive, but was robbed of a hit by a great catch by the Dover shortstop. Evan Cheng was walked and Ryan Hall singled to keep things alive. Jeff Della Piazza doubled to score both runners. Unfortunately, Dover picked up an insurance run in the 7th. Summit out hit Dover 13 to 10 but stranded 11 while Dover left only 5 runner on base.
