Summit returned to its winning ways overcoming 5 errors with a an 11 hit performance. Steve Bariexca allowed only 6 hits and 1 earned run, but struggled a bit more than usual on the mound as he gave up 6 base on balls.

Summit picked up 4 runs in the 2nd inning. Mike Mormak drew a one out walk to get things started. Evan Cheng singled and Ryan Hall laid down a nice bunt that baffled the Mt Olive defense. Their pitcher, sensing a possible play at 3rd base, threw the ball out of play, allowing both Mormak and Cheng to score and Hall to move to 3rd base. Bariexca's single scored Hall. Bariexca stole second and Matt Williams, who went 4 for 4, singled to drive in the 4th run. Summit made it 5-1 in the 3rd inning when Jeff Della Piazza was walked, Nick Monaco was hit by the pitcher and Cheng singled. Summit's final 3 runs came in the 5th inning. Cheng led off with a double, Bariexca singled scoring Cheng, Johnson got on via a fielder's choice and Williams drove in 2 runs with a double.

Bariexca's record is now 5-1 with a 2.38 ERA
