Union Rallied for 4 runs in the top of the 6th to beat Summit. Matt Williams carried a 2-1 lead into the top of the 6th. For the 1st 5 inning Williams had scattered 4 hits and allowed only 1 unearned run. However, things started badly for Williams in the 6th inning. The bases became loaded when the leadoff hitter singled, the next batter was hit by the pitcher and the following batter was walked. Another single scored 2 runs and left 2 on base with no outs. Mike Mormak made a great play at short to get the first out, but a single scored 2 more runs to make it a 5-2 Union lead. Union got 2 more singles but didn't score any more runs.

In the Summit half of the inning Williams got on base via an error. Paul Krupa and Jeff Johnson had back-to -back singles and suddenly the bases were loaded with no one out. A wild pitch allowed Williams to score and moved Krupa and Johnson to 3rd and 2nd, still with no outs. Things were really looking up. Unfortunately, Union's Foligano shut Summit down with 2 strikouts and a pop-up.

Summit had picked up 2 runs in the 4th inning when, after 2 outs, Nick Monaco singled, Mormak walked and Evan Cheng smashed a 2 RBI double.

Williams record is now 5-3 with a 2.77 ERA.
