The tone of the game was set on the first play when Matt Williams took the opening kick-off and returned it 87 yards for a touchdown. Summit added 21 more points in the 2nd quarter to put the game out of reach for Parsippany. Summit's 2nd TD came when JP Coviello caught a 9 yard pass from Keith Schroeder to cap a 51 yard drive. Parsippany scored on their next possession to narrow the lead to 14 -7. However, on the first play following the kick-off Schroeder hit Evan Cheng with 52 yard TD pass. Parsippany fumbled the ensuing kick-off on their 15 yard line and Schroeder ran it in for the final TD of the quarter.

Summit's final scores of the game came in the 4th quarter. After Parsippany had driven from their 28 yard line to Summit's 35 they fumbled away their opportunity. After Marquis White and Schroeder had moved the ball to the Summit 45, sophomore Brad Dolny broke loose on a 55 yard TD run. Summit's final score came after Dwight Reid returned a Parsippany punt 37 yards to the Parsippany's 22 yard line. From there sophomore Rob Schroeder passed to Matt Williams for the score.
