Both the offense and defense were firing on all cylinders. Admittedly, Dover isn't in the top rank of conference foes, but the game was a showcase for the style of this edition of Summit basketball. It featured aggressive defense, outstanding rebounding and lots of fast break points off of turnovers.
Summit jumped to a 10-2 lead, expanded that lead in every quarter and dominated Dover in every category. Summit managed an astounding 53 rebounds and sank 52 % of their shots. Dan Dugan's 17 points (14 in the 1st half) and 13 rebounds led Summit at both ends of the court. Tony Johnson (15 points, 10 rebounds) and Alex Sprinzen (10 points, 11 rebounds) also scored "double-doubles".
The depth of Summit's bench was impressive. At least six sophomores and Juniors were able to come off the bench and play at a high level.
