Summit got its 8th victory of the season at the expense of Hanover Park. The early part of the game's scoring was led by Alex Sprinzen who hit on 4 of his first 5 shots. Then, after a scoreless 1st quarter Dan Dugan caught fire. In the next 17 minutes Dugan poured in an amazing 26 points. During that stretch Dugan drained 5 three-point field goals. It was a remarkable performance. Dugan and Sprinzen's offensive performance helped Summit build an insurmountable 34-18 half-time lead.
Dwayne Reid led Summit rebounding with seven. Mark Andrews and Greg Mortenson had 3 and 4 rebounds respectively, a significant number considering how few minutes they were on the floor.
An unfortunate error by the referees led to the early exit of Sprinzen. When Andrews committed a foul toward the end of the 1st quarter they indicated the number 23 {Sprinzen) instead of the number 43 (Andrews). As a result, when Sprinzen was called for his 4th foul he was forced to leave the game. Luckily, the game was well in hand by that time.
