The game was essentially over by the end of the 1st quarter when Linden took a 24-3 lead. A look at the statistics tell a bleak story. Summit scored on only 10 of its 45 shots (22%). Some of that was bad luck, but most was the result of intense Linden pressure. In another category, Summit was limited to only 9 rebounds. Typically Summit garners 25-30 rebounds in a game. The Linden height was just overwhelming. Dwayne Reid led Summit's scoring with 14 points and Alex Sprinzen managed 8 points. Scoring inside was almost impossible. As a result the big majority of Summit points (18 of 26 points from the field) came from outside the 3-point line.
