This game was not nearly as close as the final score would indicate. Summit built a comfortable 43-24 lead in the 1st half behind the scoring of Alex Sprinzen (12 points), Dan Dugan (11 points) and Dwayne Reid (11 points). The lead continued to grow in the 3rd quarter as six players contributed to a 65-34 lead starting the 4th quarter.

Coach Maxwell decided to give the reserves an opportunity to gain extensive varsity game experience in the final quarter. Of the five that played the bulk of the quarter three had also dressed for the JV game. Needless to sat Morris Hills stayed with their starters. Morris Hills turned up the defensive pressure and caused many turnovers that led directly to points. At the same time Morris Hill's shooters got hot and sank 6 of 8 3-point attempts. They also were successful on 9 of 11 free throws. Summit went to the line 13 times in the 4th quarter but were successful on only six. To his credit, Coach Maxwell stayed with the reserves even when things began to get uncomfortably close.

Four Summit players scored in double digits, Dwayne Reid (17 points), Sprinzen (16 points), Dugan (11 points) and Dwight Reid (11 points).
