Steve Bariexca won his 5th game of the season and except for the 6th inning he was completely in charge. Summit carried an 8-0 lead into the 6th inning but Dover erupted for 5 runs on 6 hits and threw a bit of a scare into the Summit fans. However, Bariexca regained his form in the 7th inning and put Dover out 1-2-3 on 2 strikeouts and a 4-3 ground out. Bariexca struck out 9 and didn't issue a single base on balls.

Summit picked up one run in the 1st off a pair of hits by Jeff Della Piazza and Paul Krupa. Two more runs scored in the 3rd off a single by Della Piazza and 2 Dover errors. Noah Landau started off the 4th inning with a single. Ryan Mahoney followed with another single and McNeil loaded the bases on a fielder's choice that didn't get anyone out. Bariexca drove in one run on a ground ball that was thrown home too late to get the runner. With bases still loaded Della Piazza hit a big triple down the left foul line to score all the runners. He, in turn, came home on a ground ball Krupa.

Summit's final runs came in the 6th inning. Della Piazza got things started with a 1 out double and scored on Krupa's single. A single by Brad Dolny and a hit batter (Zach Barber) loaded the bases. Tim Fields was walked to force in another run. Landau's sacrifice fly allowed Dolny to score and Mahoney singled to score Barber.

Della Piazza had a huge 4 for 4 day with 2 singles, a double and a triple.
