Summit dug itself a deep hole in the 1st inning and was never able to recover. It was one of those innings from hell. Parsippany Hills scored 3 runs via a walk, a single and 5 Summit errors. Paul Krupa, the starting pitcher, deserved better. Summit scored a run in the 2nd off a Bryan Lawton double and an error on a Noah Landau ground ball. Summit made it a ball game in the top of the 3rd. Steve Bariexca got a one out single and advanced to 2nd on a ground out. Paul Krupa singled to drive in the run. It made the game 3-2, but that was the end of the Summit scoring.

Parsippany Hills picked up 3 legitimate runs in their part of the 3rd and that was pretty much the ball game. Kyle Dobiszewski pitched the final 2 innings, giving up 2 hits but no runs. Martin Cabalas pitched for Parsippany, coming off a game with Hanover Park where he held that hard hitting team to a single run.
