Summit beat Weequahic as expected. While the Weequahic squad has improved a bit over the years they are prone to a lot of mistakes. This game was ended by the 10 run rule after 5 innings. Summit managed 23 runs with 15 hits. They were aided by 8 errors, 5 walks and 4 hit batsmen. The game provided an opportunity for some of the JVs to get in some Varsity playing time. Mike Spallone was the winning pitcher and acquitted himself very well. He allowed only 5 hits for the 5 innings and struck out eight.

The 3 JV players performed well at the plate. Spallone going 2 for 4 with 2 runs and 2 RBIs, Tim Fields was 1 for 2 and an RBI and Kyle Dobiszewski had a triple and scored a run.

Kevin McNeil set something of a record when he was hit by the pitchers on 3 consecutive at bats. In fact he was hit twice in a single inning.
