Summit was expected to easily beat Weequahic and it did just that. Robbie Schroeder had one of his best games as he connected for 4 touchdown passes. The game ended on a very sad note when Weequahic's Naim Sanders was seriously injured with 11:22 left in the fourth quarter. Sanders lay on the field for about 30 minutes before he was safely taken away by the Summit Volunteer First Aid Squad. The extent of his injuries was unknown, but they were clearly significant. By agreement between both coaches and the officials the game was called with the final score 35-0.

Summit struck quickly on their 1st possession that began on the Summit 49 yard line. Three carries by Jeff Della Piazza got the ball to Weequahic's 33 yard line. After 2 passes misfired, Schroeder hit Dwayne Reid in the end zone for the TD. Summit's 2nd possession started on Summit's 40 yard line. A 17 yard run by Della Piazza and a 13 yarder by Tony Johnson gave Summit a 1st and 10 on Weequahic's 34 yard line. A 14 yard pass to Evan Cheng set up another first down on the 23. Della Piazza moved it to the 10 yard line and Schroeder passed to Johnson for the TD. Summit's final score of the 1st half resulted when Summit recovered a fumble on the Weequahic 41. Della Piazza ran for 12 yards and a pass to Dwayne Reid gained another 13 yards. Della Piazza moved the ball to the 10 and Dwayne Reid grabbed a pass from Schroeder for Reid's 2nd TD.

Summit took the second half kick off and scored on their 1st play as Steve Kohut caught a pass and travelled 59 yard for the 4th TD of the game. The final score began when a weak punt gave Summit the ball on the Weequahic 39 yard line. Alternating runs by Della Piazza and Johnson moved the ball to the 21 in four plays. A 10 yard pass to Cheng made it 1st and 10 at the 11 yard line. Kohut took it to the 10 and a pair of runs by Della Piazza took it the remaining yards for the score.

Evan Cheng had a perfect day with the extra points, hitting on all 5 of his tries.
