Dwayne Reid got Summit off to a fantastic start by scoring 17 of Summit's 1st quarter points. That helped Summit establish a 7 point lead over a scrappy Johnson club. Alex Sprinzen, Dwight Reid and Wellington Smith took over in the 2nd quarter with 9,8 and 8 points respectively. By Halftime Summit was ahead 49-28 and things were well in hand.
Summit continued to out score Johnson in every quarter, even when the bench was cleared, and won going away.
Sprinzen led all scorers with 25 points, but Dwayne Reid and Smith were close behind with 21 and 19 points respectively. Dwight Reid finished with 12 points and 11 rebounds for a "double-double". Summit's 90 points was a season high.
Alex Sprinzen needs 25 more points to break Ryan Carey's "Internet Era" career scoring record of 879 points.
Summit will play Hacketstown, who beat Hanover Park 83-63, on Wednesday (3/5) at 7PM in Summit.
