Summit's pressure defense generated a lot of turnovers in the 1st half, but they didn't lead to as many baskets as usual. Dwayne Reid had the only hot hand in the half as he picked up 17 of his game high 20 points. While the pressing defense generated its share of turnovers it also generated a lot of fouls. What's more, Mt. Olive took full advantage of the fouls sinking 13 of their 14 attempts. That is what kept them in the game during the 1st half. Summit started the second half up 27-21 but it was all down hill from there. In the entire 2nd half Summit managed only 4 field goals and 15 points, while Mt. Olive racked up 31 points.
Dwayne Reid led Summit with 20 points while Alex Sprizen and Wellington Smith each pulled down 7 rebounds.
Mt. Olive's Malonski led all scorers with 22 points.
