Summit managed only 20 points in the first half, shooting only 21 percent from the field. Weequahic seemed to be in charge and held a 3 point lead at the half. Boy did things turn around in the 2nd half. Summit was red hot and scored the first 11 points of the 3rd quarter. For the entire quarter Summit scored 30 points and held Weequahic to a mere ten. In the final analysis, Summit racked up 54 points in the second half. Tony Johnson scored14 of his team leading 20 points in the 2nd half to pace the offense. However, all the starters contributed heavily in the half, Dwayne and Dwight Reid with 12 points each, Alex Sprinzen with 8 points and Wellington Smith with 6. Smith, as is so often the case, led the rebounding with eleven.
