Sun 04/13 11AMColumbia A Lost 9-6 Suymmit took a 6-2 lead early. Two runs in the 1st when Betsy Congdon had a 2 RBI single. A 4 run 2nd inning featured a 2 RBI triple by Jen Ly, who went 2 for 3 (2RBI) for the game with 3 stolen bases . Columbia slow crept back into the game while holding Summit scoreless. 
Sun 2PM Morristown A Lost 12-2 Morristown broke the game open with a 7 run second inning and Summit was never able to recover.
Mon 04/14 4PMHanover Park H Lost 5-3 Summit was Down 3-0 going into the bottom half of the 6th. Beth Dickey hit a single, Jen Ly followed with another single, Jamie Greenman hit a double, plating two, and Greenman scored on an error, tie game. But, Summit gave up two in the 7th.
Tue 04/15 4PM West Essex H Lost 4-1 Summit had a 1 - 0 lead through three complete innings. West Essex tied the game in the top half of the 4th. And then added one in the 5th, and one in the 6th. Beth Dickey scored on a passed ball in the 1st. Lost 7-2 Nikki Nelson had an RBI triple, Patti Ruane hit an RBI single. Megan Leavy pitched and took the loss.
Mon 04/21 4PMParsippany Hills A Lost 7- 5 Again, Summit came out strong. Leading 5 - 2 through 5 innings. Unfortunately, Summit Gave up 5 runs in the sixth. Summit played very well defensively. Jen Ly went 3-4 on the day with 2 stolen bases. Lost 29-9 Parsippany Hills opened a very big lead in the 1st inning but Summit didn't quit. Summit outscored Par Hills over the remainder of the game. Renee Freedan and Liz Clark hit home runs, Jennifer Garrison had a solid triple.
Wed 04/23 4PMDover H Lost 10-8 Summit was down 8-3 going into the bottom of the sixth, but scored 4 runs in the bottom of the 6th. After 1 more run scored in the 7th Summit loaded the bases, but couldn't get anyone else home. Beth Kowitt was 1 for 3 (a triple), Julie Matheny was 2 for 4 with 1 RBI and Leslie Koernig went 1 for 3 with a walk and 1 RBI.
Fri 04/25 4PMMorris Hills H Lost 19-5 Summit kept it close for most of the game. It was 7-3 in favor of Morris Hills (the best team in the Conference, 12-0 in Conf play) through 5 innings. In the 6th, MH scored two, and in the bottom, Summit scored two on back to back singles by Beth Dickey & Jen Ly. Jamie Greenman then hit a blast for a triple, scoring one (Beth had previously scored on a passed ball). In the 7th MH put on a hit fest.

Jamie Greenman went 3 for 4, two triples, 2 rbi's, 2 runs scored, 1 sb Beth Dickey went 3 for 4, two runs scored, two sb.

Mon 04/28 4PMMt. Olive A Lost 11-1 Mt. Olive was just too tough. They scored 4 in the 3rd, 3 in the 4th, & 4 more in the fifth to utilize the 10 run rule.

Jamie Greenman was the primary offense for summit, going 3 for 3, 1 RBI, and 1 stolen base. 

Lost 12-0 In spite of the score, the outfield played well, anchored by Renee Freeden. Stephanie Goodson's bunts were flawless and Stephanie Smith continued to move the runners around the bases. Meghan Leavy replaced Tammy Figueroa on the mound. Sarah Butters kept their base runners at bay with her strong throws to Jennifer Gleason at first.
Wed 04/30 4PMMendham A Lost 2-0 This Summit's best pitching/defensive effort of the season. Summit pitcher Maria Bennett held 7-2 Mendham, with a record of 7-2,to 6 hits but the Summit bats were silent. Summit's only offense was a double by Jamie Greenman and single by Julie Matheny Lost 14-13 bottom of 8th inning. Renee Freeden went 4 for 5 with a triple, a double and 2 singles. Lucy Twill was flawless in the outfield. Steph Goodson & Patti Ruane each went 3 for 5. Megan Leavy pitched.
Thu 05/01 4PM Brearley UCT A Lost 6-5 in 9 innings. Brearley took a 2-0 advantage after 1 inning. Summit came back with 1 in the 2nd on an rbi single by Amy DeSantis. Summit got another one in the 3rd with an rbi single by Beth Kowitt. We scored three more in the 5th with a 2 rbi single by Casey Kimber.Summit had a 5-3 lead going into the 6th inning. Brearley scored two in the bottom half of the 6th to tie the game. Brearley was able to score the winning 9t inning run on a 1 out sac fly to center. It was a well played game by both teams. Summit is playing excellent softball right now and staying very positive. Brearley is now 9-2 in competitive play this year and is currently ranked 8th in Union County.
Fri 05/02 4PMParsippany H Lost 6-0 Lost 13-5 Steph Goodson and Patti Ruane went 3 for 4.

Mon 05/05 4PMWest Essex A Lost 11-1 Summit's only run was driven in by Beth Kowitt's double West Essex is 7-8 
Wed 05/07 4PMWeequahic H Won 20-1 Diana Rodriguez had a double, trople and 4 RBIs. Anna Kotopoulos went 3 for 4 with 2 RBI and scored 3 runs.
Mon 05/12 4PMParsippany Hills H Lost 10-4 
Tue 05/13 4PM Parsippany A Lost 11-4 Beth Kowitt and Casey Kimber each had a pair singles, a run and an RBI. Won 12-11 This was JVs first win of the season. Lauren Demetro lead the defensive plays, Jennifer Garrison's stretches at first base insured the outs. Liz Clark stole base after base as did steph goodson. Megan Leavy Pitched the win. Patti Ruane made the game winning catch in left field.
Wed 05/14 4PMDover A Lost 8-1 Beth Kowitt tripled in the 2nd inning to tie the gameat 1-1. Unfortunately Dover broke things open in the 4th with 4 runs.  Won 18-8 The JVs made it 2 in a row. Megan Leavy Pitched the game winner. Si Chen was the DH and went 2 for 4. Sarah Butters hit a base clearing double in the fifth going 5 for 5 on the day. Renee Freeden hit a single everytime going 5 for 5. Tammy Figueroa hit a very important sacrafice fly in the 5th inning.

Mon 05/19 4PM Mendham H Lost 6-5.
05/21 4PM Weequahic A Won 19-6 Summit's offense was led by Julie Matheny who went 4 for 5, including a double, a triple, 3 runs and 6 RBIs. Beth Kowitt delivered 2 singles, 3 RBIs and 3 runs. Leslie Koernig held Weequahic to 2 hits.
