Summit came out strong against Cranford crashing the defensive boards hard and hitting 4 of 10 shots from the field to stay within one point after the first quarter of play. That quickly changed however when Ashley Holmes picked up her third foul early in the second quarter. Suddenly, Summit found it very difficult to keep Cranford off the boards giving up too many shots on the defensive end of the floor. Additionally, the Lady Hilltoppers could not get their offense going which put them down by 14 going into the half. Summit did gain some momentum back in the fourth quarter, but, it was too late to make any significant impact in the game. Sasha Orenczak led all scorers with 10 points, followed by Ashley Holmes' 8.

Summit came out sluggish in the first quarter unable to connect on any fieldgoal attempts, however, picked up the intensity on the defensive end to hold Cranford to only 4 points in that same quarter. They found life in the second outscoring Cranford 10-8 to enter the halftime break down a bucket. The second half proved to be a battle with Summit showing lots of determination and hustle. Despite hitting 5-9 from the line, the Lady Hilltoppers were unable to connect on a few key shots as Cranford sank some pivotal foul shots in the crunch to seal the victory. Geremay Tan led all scorers with 9, hitting 3 for 3 from three point land.
