Summit's JV squad entered their first county tournament as the 12th seed today versus the 5th seed Elizabeth at the Dunn Center. They played very well in the first quarter and ended it down only one point. The second quarter turned out to be a disaster as Summit couldn't manage the full court man pressure. They turned the ball over and were only able to put up 4 shots from the field. Despite that, they still entered the half in good shape down just 5 baskets. Summit was able to put up 8 points in the third and reestablish a feel for the game. About midway through the fourth, they changed to full court man pressure to keep Elizabeth from milking the clock and try to get the ball back in their hands. They were able to do that and had several offensive opportunities, but were not able to capitalize on them. Overall, Summit played a tough game and represented their school very well. Allison Cahott pulled down 5 boards and scored 8 to lead Summit. Geremay Tan also laid in 8 for Summit.
