The Lady Hilltoppers brought a total of 10 Players to Mendham for a JV and Varsity matchup versus their Conference rival thanks to the flu bug which has plagued the team during the last week. When Jaki Sanchez was unable to play the 2nd half of the JV game due to a knee injury, it furthered weakened the bench options for the Varsity squad. Summit's defense held the team in the game in the first half but, without the leading scorer of the past 3 games and player of the week Sasha Orenzcak, Summit's offense struggled to generate many points. When senior captain Ashley Holmes left early in the 3rd quarter due to foul trouble, it spelled the demise of Summit's already meager offense. Although Summit was able to bring the lead down to 12 in the 4th quarter, the lack of offensive continuity and available players on the bench proved to be too much for the team to overcome.
