Weequahic came out strong from the tip and dominated Summit on their offensive boards. Summit continually gave up two and three shots to Weequahic on several trips which put them down early in the game. Summit struggled to score in the second quarter and entered the half facing an 11 point deficit. They rebounded in the third and fourth quarter, but the deficit was too large to recover. Once again Summit was without injured starters Senior Ashley Holmes and Junior Rachel Tabak which made it difficult for Summit to have an inside presence as well as a true point guard to run the floor. Summit was led by a superb effort from Sophomore Allison Cahott who laid in 15 points. They will host Parsippany Hills in their final appearance at home this season with a tribute to the Seniors on Tuesday evening at 7pm.

Summit's JV squad put together a great game today jumping ahead early with defensive steals that converted to fast break points. They outscored Weequahic 14 to 1 in the first quarter and sailed through the rest of the game from there. Betsy Congdon did a tremendous job at the point with an injury sidelining Geremay Tan. Caitlin Lackaye scored 8 points and pulled down 10 boards, Jaki Sanchez scored 12 points and pulled down 7 boards while Amy Sekulic pulled in 12 boards. This was a great team win that should help Summit catapult past Parsippany Hills tomorrow evening prior to the Varsity game.
