This was Summit's first of two games with Weequahic. The game was a home game for Weequahic but was moved to Summit because of field problems at Weequahic Park. The game had an unusual start because Summit (batting first as the "visitors") went down 1-2-3 and Weequahic picked up an unearned run in their half of the 1st inning. Going into the 2nd Summit was behind 1-0. It was the first time Summit had ever been behind in a game with Weequahic. Summit managed to gain a 3-1 lead after 2 innings but it looked like this game might be closer than usual.
The dam broke in the 3rd inning as Summit scored 7 runs on 7 hits and 7 Weequahic errors. Six more runs in the 4th inning put Summit well beyond the 10 run rule and the game ended after 5 innings.
Matt Fields pitched the entire game, giving up only one hit and one earned run. Jeff Della Piazza led the hitting with 3 doubles in 4 at bats. Alex Fischer got the ony triple of the game.
