Summit moved one step closer to clinching the Iron Hills Championship by beating Mt. Olive. However, the 1st half proved a bit tougher than had been expected. Summit still had a good 8 point lead, but in their first meeting Summit had been up by19 points at the half. Dwayne Reid and Wellington Smith set a torrid pace in the 1st half. Dwayne Reid scored on 8 of 9 shots for 20 points and 5 of those 8 baskets were 3 pointers. Smith scored on 4 of 5 shots for 9 points.
Summit broke the game open in the 3rd quarter out scoring Mt. Olive 15-4. Smith led the 2nd half scoring with 15 points on 7 of 10 shooting. For the Game both Wellington Smith and Dwayne Reid each had 24 points. Smith hitting 11 of 15 and Reid hitting 9 of 14. Pretty remarkable shooting! Overall, the team shot 60%. As usual Smith led the rebounding with 9.
