Summit was playing without Mike Dugan who injured his ankle in practice and will miss at least a week. Anthony Rea replaced Dugan in the starting lineup and led the 1st quarter scoring with 6 points. Summit led 12 -4 at the end of the quarter. Maurice Torres came off the bench in the 2nd quarter and poured in 10 points to help Summit take a commanding 30-10 lead at the half. After that the game was no longer in doubt.
Wellington Smith terrorized Parsippany under the basket. He blocked numerous shots, grabbed 10 rebounds and caused Parsippany to alter many of their shots. Smith was also the leading scorer with 16 points
