JV Result

Summit JV 44- Mt. Olive 42

A barnburner at the end....Summit's JV played a great game keeping it together despite foul trouble for Renee Freeden, one of our best scorer's. Summit gave up a 9 point lead late in the fourth quarter and allowed Mt. Olive to come all the way back to tie the game at 42 with under a minute to play. After several turnover's by both teams, Summit's Megan Osmulski drove down the sideline with under 10 seconds to play trying to get to the basket when she was fouled at about the hash mark. She went to the line for a one and one with 4 seconds left to play and the game knotted at 42. She hit both putting Summit up two. Mt. Olive quickly inbounded and drove the length of the court despite ball pressure getting up a last second shot from the paint that rolled around and off the side of the rim giving Summit the victory! Great play by each team member. Summit was led by Megan Osmulski with 15 and Renee Freeden with 12.
