Summit out scored West Essex in each of the first two quarters and held a 5 point lead at halt time. Allison Cahott exploded for 10 points in the 3rd quarter to help Summit build 13 point edge starting the final 8 minutes. West Essex rallied in the 4th quarter to close the gap. Down the stretch Rachel Tabak sank all 4 of her free throws to help maintain the lead.
Cahott led all scorers with 14 points. Tabak and freshman Danielle Scott were both in double digits with 12 points. This was Summit's first win of the season.
