Cranford, the #1 seed in the UCT, held Summit to a pair of singles by Jon Buscaino and Stoney Gibbons. Summit's only run was scored by Tim Field. He drew a lead off walk in the 4th inning, moved to second on a bad throw by the pitcher, went to 3rd on a wild pitch, and scored on an error by the 2nd baseman.
For the second Saturday in a row Jake Huck was forced to pitch to a very strong team in a heavy rain.
