Through six innings this was a close game but a meltdown of walks, errors and a few Morris Hills hits put the game out of reach in the 7th inning. The game got off on the wrong foot when Morris Hills' lead off hitter connected with Jake Huck's third pitch of the game for a home run.

Summit tied the game in the bottom on walks to Zach Barber and Tim Fields and a throwing error by the pitcher. Morris Hills regained the lead in the 2nd inning on two walks and a single. Morris Hills made it 3-1 in the third inning with a single, double and a sacrifice fly. Barber led off the 3rd inning with a double and eventually scored on an error to close the gap to 3-2.

Morris Hills added an unearned run in the 5th inning and Morris Hill carried the 4-2 lead into the 7th inning.

Morris Hills' Chris McGlynn handcuffed the Summit offense, allowing only 3 hits. He was as strong in the 7th inning as he was at the start of the game.
