New Providence easily won as the result of a Summit defensive melt down. In the 6th inning alone Summit had 5 errors and New Providence picked up 8 unearned runs. Things started well enough for Summit. In the bottom of the 1st inning Zach Barber led off with a double and was driven in by a 6-3 ground out by Jon Busciano. Tim Fields and Andrew Furman had back to back singles and Jake Huck's single scored Fields. Summit's only other run came in the 5th inning. Jeff Barry singled but was out on Sam Zerfoss' fielder's choice. Barber's second double of the game drove in Zerfoss.
