Won 2-1 17th seeded Summit, who hadn't won a Union County game for more than 10 years, defeated top seeded Linden. Summit took a 2-0 lead in the first half as Carlos Villalobos scored twice. The Summit defense held Linden scoreless until Awel Mohammed scored with only 5:19 left in the game. Justin MacPherson did a great job of keeping Linden's star in check. Goalie Tim Fields anchored the defense with 10 saves. This was a huge win for the Summit program. |
