Mon 04/04 4:OOPMW Morris Central ALost 13-9 Gina Scioscia scored 4 goals and Emily Moore added 2 more. Unfortunately, West Morris' Stephanie Garland managed 7 goal to lead all scorers. Lost 10-6 The Summit JV Girls Lacrosse team opened with a well fought effort against West Morris Central. Summit went down 4 to 1 but then came back to narrow the margin to 4-3 by halftime. Summit scoring was led by Stephanie Marks who had 2 goals, Sylvia Lobo with one goal and 2 assists, and Molly McDonnell, Lilse Rodgers, and Carly Kanaley each added one. Both Emily Baker and Nicole Murakami excelled in their aggressive play in the midfield. Celine achored the defensive effort with some outstanding saves and the low defenese coordinated well after the first few moments of play. WMC led by one goal with about 5 minutes to play but managed to widen the margin as time ran out.  
Thu 04/07 4:OOPMMorristown HWon 14-6 Gina Scioscia continued her high scoring ways with 5 gols and 3 assists. Ann Burns added 4 goals and Emily Moore contributed 3 goals. Morrist town is (0-2). Won 11-1 Summit dominated the midfield and did an excellent job with ground balls. AZ Slaght and
Stephanie Marks each had hat tricks. Summit scoring was evenly distributed with Silvia Lobo, Carly Kanaley, Tracy Sartorius, Yasmine Ali and Ashley Wiggins contributing goals. The offense moved the ball well with Lilse Rodgers, Molly McDonnell and Stephanie Marks making assists on three of the goals.  
Sat 04/09 TBARandolph AWon Won 7-5 Summit defeated Randolph in a well fought game. The score was tied 3-3 at halftime, and with about 7 minutes left it was tied 5-5. Summit rallied with goals by Stehpanie Marks and AZ Slaght to put the game away. Molly McDonnell did an outstanding job in goal substituting for an ailing Celine Javanni. The low defense of Yasmine Ali, Meredith Anderson and Katherine Bearden, did a great job protecting the 8 meter area. Scoring for Summit were Stephanie Marks with 3 goals, AZ Slaght with 2, and Tracy Sartorius and Carly Kanaley chipped in one each. 
Mon 04/11 4:OOPMMendham HLost 16-5 Gina Scioscia was a bright spot for Summit as she scored 3 goals. Mendham is (5-0) and ranked 3rd in the state Lost 9-4 While the score may not look impressive, the effort of the Summit girls in the second half was terrrific. Trailing 7-1 at halftime, the team took it upon themselves to get back in the game and dominated the midfield. Nicole Murakami and Emily Baker excelled at ground balls and aggressive play on transitions. Molly McDonnell and Ashley Wiggins held tough at goal. Summit scoring was led by Tracy Sartorius with 3 goals and Silvia Lobo with one. The low defense really came together in the second half as well. Second half score 3-2 Summit.
Thu 04/14 4:OOPMColumbia AWon 17-13 Gina Scioscia led Summit's scoring with six goals. Heather Scuddellari added three goals. Won 6-1. Summit controlled the tempo of the game by controlling the draws. While it wasn't the prettiest game to watch as both squads struggled to execute, Summit persevered. Emily Baker broke the ice for Summit, scoring on an excellent pass from Carly Kanaley. AZ Slaght added a second goal in first half. Ashley Wiggins, Molly McDonnell, Tracy Sartorius, and Kanaley all scored in the second half to give Summit a commanding lead. Celine Javanni did a fine job back in goal for the Hilltoppers. 
Fri 04/15 4:00PM Chatham Lost 10-9 A fiercely fought battle, Summit trailed Chatham 8-3 at halftime. Overcoming a 5 goal deficit, Summit exploded with intensity during the second half scoring 6 goals and holding Chatham to only 2. However, this was not enough to lift the Hilltoppers over the Cougars. Gina Scioscia led all scores with four goals. Emily Moore had one goal and three assists for the day while Heather Scudellari had two goals. Lost 15-2 A valiant Summit squad working with no substitute players lost to a well-skilled and athletic Chatham squad. Summit had a difficult time controlling the draws and thus possession of the ball. The Summit team played with heart throughout the game and allowed far fewer goals in the second half than the first. Scoring for Summit were Tracy Sartorius and Nicole Murakami.
Mon 04/18 4:OOPMLivingston AWon 15-9 A total team effort, seven different Hilltoppers found the back of the net for Summit. Gina Scioscia led all scores with three, while Sal Baker, Liz West, Anne Burns and Heather Scudellari each added two. Emily Moore and Rachel Ardington each had one goal. Liz Wheeler had a solid performance with 11 saves in the second half. Lost 7-6 Summit lost a tough decision today. Summit started off slowly falling behind 6 to 2 at half-time. After regrouping, the Summit squad out scored Livingston 4 to 1 in the second half. Carly Kanaley, Nicole Murakami and Tracy Sartorius did an especially outstanding job of controlling the ground balls in the midfield. Summit scoring was balanced with goals by Tracy Sartorius, Stephanie Marks, Nicole Murakami, Carly Kanaley, Ashley Wiggins and AZ Slaght. Great second half effort! 
Thu 04/21 4:OOPMWest Essex HLost 14-1 Emily Moore scored Summit's only goal early in the 1st half to make the score 2-1. West Essex (7-1) then scored 12 unanswered goals Lost 10-9 The Summit JV girls really put it all together today. While they came up one goal short, their effort was nothing short of OUTSTANDING. Falling behind early in the first half, Summit fought back and tied the score at 4-4 by halftime. Celine Javanni had one of her best games ever in goal making 10 saves to keep the Hilltoppers in the game. The girls fought hard to control the tempo of the game with excellent efforts throughout the field by Carly Kanaley, Nicole Murakami, Emily Baker, Stephanie Marks, Lisle Rodgers and Brittany Butler. The low defense adjusted and slid well (thanks coach Dunne) with great efforts by Katherine Bearden, Meera Pandit, Yasmine Ali and Meredith Anderson. Summit scoring featured hat tricks by Carly Kanaley and Stepahanie Marks. Silvia Lobo, Tracy Sartorius, and AZ Slaght scored one goal each. Well done Girls!
Sat 04/23 Roxbury H Won 8-4 Annie Burns and Gina Sciocia each turned in hat tricks for Summit. Sciocia also had 2 assists. Liz West (1 goal) and Heather Scudellari (1 goal 1 assist) rounded ou the scoring. Sara Bloom played the entire game and had 13 saves Won 8-1 The Summit JV dominated Roxbury today. While both teams were shorthanded, the Summit squad did a fine job controlling the tempo of the game from the outset. Stephanie Marks led the Summit scoring with 4 goals. Silvia Lobo contributed 2, and Tracy Sartorius and AZ Slaght each chipped in one. During the second half, Summit worked on passing and play-making as opposed to trying to run-up the score. Nice Job Girls!
Tue 04/26 4:OOPMChatham HWon 9-8 Summit got revenge as they met the Cougars for the second time in two weeks. Gina Sicoscia led the offense with 4 goals and 2 assists. Katie Cooper and Heather Scudellari each found the net twice while Anne Burns added a goal. The Cougars tried to claw their way back into the game, but with Sara Bloom in the goal and a loud defense in front of her they were unable to do so and the Hilltoppers earned the win.   
Thu 04/28 4:OOPMRoxbury AWon 14-12 Summit fought through the wind and the rain to see a rainbow and a win. Eight different players scored while Liz Wheeler and Sara Bloom helped out in the net. Gina Scioscia led the offense with 5 goals, 2 assists. Emily Moore counted for 3 goals and an assist while Amy Santella, Heather Scudalleri, Anne Burns, Sal Baker, Sky DiRuggiero and Liz West all had one goal.  
Mon 05/02 4:OOPMW Morris Central HLost 15-9 Gina Scioscia led the Summit offense with 5 goals. Emily Moore scored 3 times. West Morris (9-2) is ranked #10 in the state Lost 11-6 Coming off spring break, Summit lost to WMC today 11-6. Summit fell behind early in the game but fought back to within 2 goals early in the second half before West Morris pulled away. The Hilltoppers' scoring was led by Molly McDonnell who had 4 goals, one off a nice assist from Carly Kanaley and Stephanie Marks who had 2 goals.
Thu 05/05 4:OOPMMorristown AWon 14-1 Gina Scioscia scored 4 times and Heather Scudellari added 3 goals. Morristown is 0-12.Won 7-3 The JV squad came out slowly today and was held in the game by an outstanding performance in goal by Celine Javanni who had nine saves. Midway through the first half, Summit began to take command of the game. Az Slaght broke the ice for Summit to tie the game 1-1 about 12 minutes into the game. Stephanie Marks and Molly McDonnell added two goals each to give Summit a 5-1 lead at half-time. In the second half Carly Kanaley added another goal off a feed from Tracy Sartorius and Molly McDonnell scored her 3rd goal. The low defense of Yasmine Ali, Meera Pandit, Katherine Bearden and Meredith Anderson did a fine job of collapsing and shutting down the Morristown attack.  
Tue 05/10 4:OOPMRandolph HWon 15-5 As is so often tha case, Gina Scioscia led the Summit offense with 4 goals. Emily Moore and Heather Scudellari each added 3 goals. Summit's record is now 9-5. Randolph fell to 3-10Won 8-7 Summit defeated Randolph in another exciting game between the two teams. Summit led 5-2 midway through the game. Randolph fought back in the second half to tie the score 6 to 6, but Summit was determined to prevail. Summit controlled the midfield for much of the game with fine efforts with ground balls and draws by Tracy Sartorius, Nicole Murakami, Carly Kanaley and Molly McDonnell. Summit scoring was led by Stephanie Marks with 3 goals, Carly Kanaley with 2 and Siliva Lobo, AZ Slaght and Molly McDonnell chipped in one each. Kanaley had 2 fine assists, and Murakami seized a draw early in the second half and assisted Slaght's goal. The game was iced after a draw and fierce battle for the ball when McDonnell picked up a ground ball, ran down the field and sank a shot in the upper right-hand corner. The low defense led by Celine Javanni in goal with the help of Yasmine Ali, Meera Pandit, Katherine Bearden and Meredith Anderson did a fine job of collapsing and stopping the Randolph offense.  
Thu 05/12 4:OOPMMendham ALost 15-3 Mendham is unbeated at 17-0.  Won 10-6 Maybe it was the penne ala vodka, maybe it was the chicken wings, maybe it was Yasmine tackling the referee. It was definitely DETERMINATION! Summit came out strong and hard early in the game. Molly McDonnell, Nicole Murakami, Emily Baker and Tracy Sartorius did an excellent job controlling the draws and ground balls. Stephanie Marks led the scoring with a season high 5 goals. Silvia Lobo had 2 and Az Slaght, Tracy Sartorius and Carly Kanaley each contributed one. The low defense of Yasmine Ali, Meera Pandit and Katherine Bearden did a fine job forcing Mendham to make bad passes and shots. They,with the help of a fine performance in goal by Celine Javanni, held Mendham to only 6 goals.  
Mon 05/16 4:OOPMColumbia HLost 13-11 Underdog Columbia (6-11) continued their 3 game winning streak. Emily Moore scored 4 goals and Gina Scioscia had 3 goals and 4 assists. Won 12-2 Summit dominated today's game against Columbia. The Summit squad controlled the game by possessing the ball and challenging Columbia in the midfield. Off the draw and in the midfield Molly McDonnell, Tracy Sartorius, Emily Baker, Carly Kanaley and Nicole Murakami were especially effective at gaining possession. Summit moved the ball well around the 12 meter with assists on goals by Stephanie Marks, Grace Pomeroy, Sartorius, McDonnell, and Baker. Scoring for Summit were Marks with 5, Sartorius and Silvia Lobo with 2 each, and Meera Pandit, Kanaley, and McDonnell chipping in one goal each. The low defense led by Celine Javanni in goal shut out Columbia in the second half.  
Thu 05/19 4:OOPMLivingston H Lost 10-9 to Livingston today in the girls last home game. The girls fought valiantly and put in a fine effort- nothing to feel bad about! Highlights of the game included Jackie Apostolik's first goal of the season off a fine assist from Carly Kanaley who also had a goal, Stephanie Marks's 5 goals, and Molly McDonnell's 2 goals. Emily Baker picked up 6 free/ground balls for Summit and Celine Javanni made 7 saves to keep Summit in the game.  
Tue 05/24 4PM 2nd Round North B Hopewell Valley H Won 10-6 Summit fell behind 5-4 at half time, but out scored Hopewell valley 7-2 in the 2nd half. Gina Scioscia led the 2nd half rally with 4 of her game high 5 goals. Emily Moore contributed 2 goals and Liz Wheeler had 13 saves in goal.

Summit will meet top seeded Oak Knoll in the quarterfinals. The game will be at Oak Knoll on Thurs 5/26

Tue 05/24 4:OOPMWest Essex Apostponed  
Wed 05/25 4Pm Roxbury Won 8-6 On a cold and blustery day that was more reminiscent of November than the end of May, the Summit JV Girls defeated Roxbury. Scoring for Summit early in the game off a roll was Carly Kanaley. Stephanie Marks, Emily Baker and Tracy Sartorius added goals in the first half to give Summit a 4-3 lead at half-time. Marks added two goals early in the second half, but Roxbury then tied the score 6-6 with about 9 minutes to go. Lilse Rodgers took a fine pass from the midfield and passed to Marks who assisted on a well placed shot by center Molly McDonnell. Tracy Sartorius iced the game for Summit when she took her girl to town one on one and scored. The Summit defense spearheaded by Celine Javanni, Jasmine Ali, Meera Pandit, and Katherine Bearden did a fine job of shutting Roxbury down in the second half. The Summit midfield of Baker, Nicole Murakami, Ashley Wiggins, Jackie Apostolik was effective at controlling the tempo of the game. While focusing on offense, the attack of Silvia Lobo, Brittany Butler, Sartorius, and Kanaley excelled at forcing turnovers and giving the Summit squad the opportunity to win the game. Lost 12-6 Top seeded Oak Knoll (21-1) tool a 7-3 lead into halftime and ourscored Summit 5-3 in the second half. Gina Scioscia (4 goals) and Emily Moore (2 goals) provided all of Summit's scoring.
