The Lady Hilltoppers found themselves back in the UCIAC tourney for the first time in 3 years. The Hilltoppers yet again came into a game without its full squad. Jess Novo is still recuperating from the 7 stitch cut on her hand while Grace Obando was unavailable due to the injury she suffered to her knee versus Chatham on Thursday. Due to the injuries, Sophomore guard Monica Flannagan got the start at the point guard position.

After early defensive miscues, Summit started to slowly shut down the Linden scorers. Summit got stronger as the game wore on and outscored Linden by three points in the second half. Unfortunately for the Hilltoppers that was three points short of the goal.

Congratulations to the entire squad for their gritty effort and especially to Monica Flannagan who was taken to the hospital for Xrays on her hand immediately after the game after a collision ocurred in the waning moments of the fourth quarter. Flannagan had injured her hand earlier in the third but continued playing through the pain until that last collision.

Danielle Scott picked up her eleventh double double of the season (out of fourteen games) in the loss but the rebounding leader was Renee Freeden who hauled down fourteen rebounds. Scott (14 pts.) and Allison Cahott (12 pts.) led the scoring.
