Summit came out of the gates looking to get back to its winning ways after an ugly loss to Dover. Summit hung in there with Par Hills and was firmly in the game, only down 12-8 at the end of the 1st quarter. Summit's offense went dry in the 2nd quarter and only its defense kept the Hilltoppers in touch. Summit trailed 21-13 at the half.
The Hilltoppers finished out the 3rd quarter in a flurry, closing the gap to 30-25 on a driving layup by Nikki Nelson at the buzzer. The good play continued through the 4th quarter. Summit was able to close to within 2 at 33-31 with 1 minute to go in the 4th but Par Hills closed out the game with near perfect foul-shooting while Summit wasn't able to pull any closer. (reported by Coach Martins)
Danielle Scott anchored the Summit defense, hauling down 15 rebounds while chipping in 10 points, her 5th double-double of the season. Renee Freeden had another double didgit performance with 10 points.
