12/9 at Rye 5:15pm Lost 9-2 Summit Women's hockey opened with it's first game of the season against a strong Rye Country Day team. After a furious start by Rye Summit held their own and came back strong. The defense held Rye to just two goals over the final two periods lead by Kirsten Dinsmore ,Jackie Grawbowski and Sarah Bloom. Katie Starker was outstanding in net stopping 40 shots on goal .Summit's first goal of the season was scored by Sarah Baker with Jackie Grawbowski stepping up from the point to score Summit's second goal .(reporting by Paul Starker)
12/11 Princeton (USA) 2:10pm Lost 5-2 Trailing 2-0 after one period the Summit Lady Hilltoppers rallied in the second period on goals by Amanda Selwyn and Kristen Dinsmore to tie the game. Princeton countered with three unanswered goals in the final period to seal the victory. Katie Starker was solid in net with 31 saves.(reporting by Paul Starker)
12/15 at BHC 7pm Lost 6-1 Skating with a short bench due to a scheduling conflict the Lady Hilltoppers battled throughout the contest but could not mount a consistent attack. Sarah Bloom converted a beautiful pass from Tara O'Malley for the lone Summit goal and Katie Starker made 29 saves in net.(reporting by Paul Starker)
1/12 Pingry (BSA) 3:45pm Lost 9-1 Summit jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first period on Courtney Kern's first career goal. Courtney converted off an end to end rush by Caroline Peck. Unfortunately, that was the only shot on goal the Lady Hilltoppers could generate and they spent the rest of the game guarding their own zone. Katie Starker made 43 saves in net before being replaced with 5 minutes left in the third by Jackie Eron. Jackie made her first two career saves while closing out the game.(reporting by Paul Starker)
1/14 Beacon Hill (USA) 3:45pm Tied 2-2 After a scoreless first period the Lady Hilltoppers traded goals with their opponent in each of the final two stanzas. Summit jumped into the lead on Courtney Kern's second goal in as many games only to have the BHC women tie it up before the end of the period. Sal Baker gave the lead back to the Hilltoppers with a great individual effort mid way through the third period but a late penalty gave BHC a power play and the tying goal was scored with Summit a player down. Jackie Grabowski, Kristen Dinsmore, Caroline Peck and Lauren Demetro were strong on defense in front of Katie Starker (24 saves) and Jackie Eron (1 save).
1/17 Lawrenceville JV 6:30pm

Won 7-2 Sal Baker hit for the hat trick to lead the Lady Hilltoppers to their first victory of the season. Baker was joined on the offensive attack by linemates Tara O'Malley and Courtney Kern each contributing one goal. Kern has now connected in three straight games. The scoring was rounded out by Amanda Selwyn and Jackie Grabowski. Katie Starker stopped 6 of 7 shots before being replaced mid way through the third period by Jacqui Eron. Eron finished the game stopping 1 of 2 shots in the Summit net. (reporting by Paul Starker)

1/31 Princeton at Lawrenceville School 5pm Lost 6-0 Skating with a short bench the Lady Hilltoppers opened the game strong and mid way through the second period trailed 1-0. However, they were unable to keep the Princeton skaters in check throughout the second half of the game and fell 6-0. Katie Starker faced 31 shots in the Summit net and Sal Baker led the offense with three scoring chances.(reporting by Paul Starker)
2/3 Lawrenceville JV Won 4-0 Lauren DeMetro scored her first career goal and Sal Baker connected for a hat trick to lead the Lady Hilltoppers to victory. After a scoreless first period Baker netted two goals both on strong individual efforts finding the corner of the net on both shots. DeMetro then knocked a lose puck from in front of the net through the goaltenders legs for her first goal. In the third period, Baker again found the twine by converting a long pass from Jackie Grabowski. Katie Starker recorded her second career shutout by turning away 14 shots including a flurry of saves on a goal mouth scramble with two minutes remaining in the contest.(reporting by Paul Starker)
2/5 Pingry (USA) 2:10pm Lost 8-0 The Lady Hilltoppers played a strong first period and trailed 2-0 after one. Pingry exploded for six goals in the second to break the game open. The teams skated through an even third period but Summit was unable to break into the scoring column. Katie Starker made 42 saves in net.(reporting by Paul Starker)
2/6 Princeton (Bayonne) 3:45pm Lost 3-1The Lady Hilltoppers closed out their season with a strong effort. After falling behind 2-0 after one period Summit's defense lead by seniors Jackie Grabowski and Kristen Dinsmore shut down the high powered Princeton offense. Sal Baker brought Summit to within one with a goal in the third period. The game remained close as Summit fought for the tie with Katie Starker turning away 40 shots in net. Princeton got their insurance goal on a 2 on 1 rush with two minutes left in the game and coach Deb Nixon finished the game with her seniors (Katie Engel, Bridget Swartz, Julia Castellanos, Amanda Selwyn along with Dinsmore, Grabowski and Starker) on the ice to close out their careers.(reporting by Paul Starker)
