While the game was marred by some defensive lapses, overall this was the best game of the season. Kevin Lackaye pitched a complete game giving up 6 runs, only 3 of which were earned. It is worth noting that he didn't walk a single batter. Except for the 3rd inning Summit played good defensive ball. For example, in the 4th Par Hills, coming off a 4 run 3rd inning, had runners on 1st and third with one out. They appeared on the verge of blowing the game wide open. However Summit turned a fine 6-4-3 double play to end the threat.

Down 6-0 in the 6th, Summit started off the inning with singles by Bernie Grishman and Jon Buscaino and with one out Andrew Furman powered a towering home run over the left field fence to cut the lead to 6-3. Lackaye held Par Hills scoreless in the 7th to give Summit one more chance. In the bottom of the 7th Lackaye led off by getting on base via and error and Sam Zerfoss singled to bring the tying run to the plate. Par Hills countered by bringing one of their best in relief. He dispatched Summit on two strike outs and a fly ball to Center.

It all ended with a loss but it was exciting baseball down to the end.
